Behind the Scenes with NVIDIA: How DataQI is Evolving AI

It’s not every day that you’re invited to meet with some of the brightest minds in AI at NVIDIA’s headquarters.

Danny Tomalin and I were there to showcase the impactful work we’re doing with DataQI. Our trip to Silicon Valley gave us the opportunity to dive into cutting edge NVIDIA NIM microservices and demonstrate how DataQI is leading the charge in redefining enterprise AI solutions.

Our goal was clear: to demonstrate how DataQI, a product developed by Fulcrum Labs in collaboration with Advizex, integrates seamlessly with NVIDIA AI Blueprints with NIM and high-performance accelerated infrastructure. More importantly, we wanted to cement our work together and explore the incredible potential of combining DataQI’s bespoke AI capabilities with NVIDIA’s state-of-the-art AI infrastructure.

DataQI is redefining how businesses access and manage institutional knowledge. It delivers fast, accurate, and secure AI-powered retrieval, tailored to enterprise needs in industries including manufacturing, healthcare, and retail.

Unlike conventional "chatbots", DataQI is an advanced Agentic AI platform. It goes way beyond simple queries.

It seamlessly integrates with existing data sources, automates workflows, and provides intelligent document generation. Whether deployed on-premises, in a hybrid cloud, or fully in the cloud, DataQI ensures granular access control, secure hosting, and flexible customisation for high-security workloads.

Stepping into California, the home of some of the most innovative tech companies in the world. 

Over dinner, we got straight into discussions about AI, data, and enterprise tech solutions, without forgetting to have some fun along the way.

The next day was when everything got serious.

At 7:15 AM, we arrived at NVIDIA’s headquarters. The energy in the room was electric. The day kicked off with a series of presentations on high-performance computing (HPC), AI strategies, and the future of digital agents in business operations. The NVIDIA team delivered insightful talks, including deep dives into:

• NVIDIA DGX Cloud – A cloud-based solution for model training and fine-tuning, crucial for scaling AI projects efficiently.

• NVIDIA Networking – High-speed, low-latency connectivity that will be vital for AI workflows in 2025 and beyond.

• NVIDIA NIM in Action – Live demonstrations of NIM microservices applied to real-world scenarios, from digital avatars and protein simulations to factory automation.

One of the highlights of the day was the jaw-dropping tour of NVIDIA’s demo suite. We saw AI-driven applications in action, providing a glimpse into the future of AI-powered industries. This included:

• Digital Humans 

• Realistic Visual Factories

• Generative AI Protein Design & Modelling

• 3D Conditioning for Artefact Generation

Seeing this technology in action sparked new ideas and possibilities, and only grew our excitement to present DataQI to the team.

It felt like we were seeing into the (not so distant) future.

It was now our turn. We focused on what we’ve been doing in Generative AI and computer vision over the past 18 months. 

We walked the NVIDIA team through:

• Computer Vision - How we used Machine Learning & Computer Vision to see what the human eye can't in the aerospace industry (bonkers cool right?)

• Public Consultation Automation - Accelerating a notoriously difficult task for humans. We leveraged Generative AI to reduce the time to categorise, process and prioritise public consultations whilst retaining accuracy. People were not taken out of the process, but their work was enhanced. This was a perfect application for Generative AI, away from the most obvious content generation tasks.

• Quoting & Bid Automation – AI-powered solutions for streamlining complex price calculation and project documentation processes.

• Voice & Telephone Customer Service – Enhancing customer interactions through intelligent AI-driven voice assistants for a transport company.

A key highlight was demonstrating how DataQI runs on-premise within NVIDIA NIM. The NVIDIA team was impressed with the speed of our integration and how seamlessly DataQI leverages their technology to deliver real, measurable business value.

The two-day engagement with NVIDIA reinforced our shared vision of making AI not just powerful, but truly useful in enterprise environments. 

Here’s what’s next:

• NIM-Powered DataQI Deployment – We’re rolling out our first instance of DataQI  that integrates NVIDIA NIM, enhancing performance, security, and scalability for our enterprise customers.

• Access to NVIDIA Launchpad – This includes $250K+ worth of GPUs to further refine and optimise DataQI’s AI capabilities.

• Weekly Technical Cadence with NVIDIA – Strengthening our collaboration with ongoing discussions around AI advancements, DataQI development, and future integrations.

• Deepening the Relationship with Advizex – Leveraging their expertise to expand DataQI’s reach and impact within high-performance computing environments.

The convergence of NVIDIA’s industry-leading hardware, DataQI’s bespoke AI capabilities, and our growing network of partners is redefining what’s possible in AI-driven business transformation.

The road ahead is full of opportunities, and with DataQI, businesses across industries will be able to unlock new levels of efficiency, automation, and intelligence. We’re just getting started—and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
