Razor continue to grow with a further four new hires during Lockdown
Sheffield’s tech gamechangers have now added 11 team members to their lineup despite challenging economic conditions
November 2020: For digital transformation giants, Razor Ltd, 2020 goes something like this: three new hires in spring, four more during summer and now - with a further four new recruits joining the ranks this month - this ambitious local firm is totalling a startling 11 new team members onboarded this year.
Achieving huge growth and prosperity despite the difficult economic climate, Razor is quickly becoming the go-to destination for businesses looking to stay ahead of the game with the power of transformative technology. Part of this most recent recruitment drive is the appointment of a new Chief Technology Officer, Matt Chubb. With over 21 years experience, Matt has worked for some of the UK’s leading energy and logistics firms and boasts a strong awareness of the scope for digital transformation in British industry.
Using a range of fun and innovative ways of engaging their employees whilst home working throughout lockdown, Razor’s leadership team prides itself on making sure newcomers feel welcomed, comfortable and at home within their new remote teams; with everything from care packages, branded facemasks and organised digital events.
The company also adopts a fresh and brave approach to hiring, using an inclusive yet idiosyncratic style within their job adverts hoping to attract free-thinking people who might be new to a career in technology. Their most recent advertisement - for a Head of Sales and Partner Relations - gained plenty of engagement and positive interest across social media channels.
Speaking on his company’s success, CEO and founder, Jamie Hinton said: “It’s incredible to me that we have surpassed double figures in recruitment this year - and what a year to do it, over 10 hires is incredible.
“But this is much more than a number. As ever we are really concerned with making sure our team is happy and content in their working lives for as long as this new normal has to continue and beyond. No one is left to ‘get on with it’ unless they want to be and our junior members of the team aren’t just left to learn it without the right help, support and training.
“We are still hiring across a range of roles and we’d love to hear from you if what we do sounds like you.”
