Software Developer

You don’t want to become irrelevant in the fast-moving technology environment. You need to be stretched and work with some of the best to become the best, you need to be Razor.

Microsoft Partner - Silver Application Development Gold Cloud Platform Crown Commercial Service Supplier

We are looking for someone who has some experience, you don’t have to have loads, who can join one of our teams. You will want to learn from others but aren’t yet ready to take on the leading role.

We don't expect you to know everything or have used all of the technologies we may have already used, we are learning all the time with new technologies and tools being added to our list all the time. The list below is probably already out of date!

This is the beauty of Razor, we are always moving with the technology keeping relevant and up to date so our partners stay up to date and relevant and importantly - so do you!

From developer to developer; no waffle. The stuff we do is pretty clever and it’s fun to work on. Here’s an idea of the types of technologies you’d be expected to work with:

  • .NET Core
  • C#
  • MVC
  • APIs
  • Azure; a lot more than just VM's and App Services
  • Xamarin(.Forms)
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • TDD
  • Python (for Machine Learning)

Technology moves fast and if you are not moving with it you are becoming irrelevant. So how do you stay relevant other than tinkering like mad in an evening?

  • How about taking a Machine Learning model and integrating it into the project you are working on using Python hosted in an Azure Function?
  • What about creating a Xamarin app with a backend all in Azure using Functions, queues and the cognitive services serving 1000’s of users a day?
  • Taking on the challenge of re-architect unique platforms to scale to 1000’s of concurrent (yes concurrent) users using the latest software engineering approaches and technologies.

Do these sound like the sort of thing you need to be learning from some of the best to stay relevant? We think so. This is the sort of thing we do today and who knows what we will have moved onto tomorrow!

What to expect from us?

We pay you well and care about your development. We are flexible and offer flexible working hours. We understand that you are human and have a life outside of work. We don't expect you to slave away - we want you to be productive and happy.

We have a great working environment and are about to move (not too far) to a really nice space.

We will give you some of the best people to work with - people who you will be able to teach and who you will also learn a lot from.

We have UX and UI designers who create beautiful interfaces and provide you with clean HTML to work with.

The work we do is vast and varied and almost all targetted at Azure. We work on high scale concurrency ticketing platforms, IoT platforms with stream processing and big data analytics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, cross-platform native mobile apps, bots, API's and of course websites.

We are constantly pushing the boundaries and have a clear vision of where we are going and who works well in our team. We are growing a culture with people who share our beliefs and want to enjoy the technology wave with us.

Razor is a place where you will be pushed to reach your full potential.

Are you ready to take the next step, to learn new things and to be pushed to the next level?

Send an email to recruitment@razor.co.uk, we can continue the conversation from there 😎
