This is an amazing opportunity for a finance professional who loves data analysis and automation and has an interest in technology and wants to break the traditional mould.

This is a brand new role at Razor and that comes with an exciting opportunity that will flex and grow as the business grows.

The role will have a blend of high-level strategic thinking, working with the CFO and COO along with working on the day to day processing, reporting and management ensuring that the business runs smoothly.

There will be ownership of reporting and analysis, cash flow, budgetary and P&L management and forecasting.

There will be the day-to-day accounts payables and receivables, reconciliation and bookkeeping and management accounts for board review.

With all of this in mind, along with the understanding of what Razor does, we are keen for you to have an interest in automation. We don’t expect you to be a software engineer, we have a few people who are pretty good at that, what we are after is someone who can identify what can be automated and using available tools and experimentation will make it happen. If you want to go further with it, then we can make that happen together.

Attention to Detail This pretty much goes without saying - the numbers need to add up and be accurate. The details matter! Knowing your numbers and the detail is imperative to help make better decisions quickly.

Love the Numbers For some, numbers don’t excite, for others, they really really do and this is what we are looking for. Someone who gets that delight from modelling a new approach or driving out a simple metric from something complex.

Be able to Challenge We don’t want a yes person. We don’t want someone who will just agree. We want someone who will challenge our thinking and ways of working. Being able to know when you are wrong and others approaches are better is also important. Challenging when it is right is important and we actively encourage this.

An Interest and Passion for Technology Loving what you do is important. Being able to relate and get excited about what we do is important. You don’t have to be able to write code, or create a machine learning model but be interested and inquisitive about them and truly want to learn more. The interest breeds a deeper understanding and empathy for what you are focusing on.
